Facebook Domination

Networks, a word that floats around in every aspect of our lives. Facebook is just one network that dominates our world.
Facebook is become so easily assessable that 664 million individual are connected. (Adam, 2019) First marketed to be a network to stay connected to your family and friends, Facebook taken on a life of its own. From Voting Enrolment advertising, to online gaming Facebook has elements for every individual.
Following the links through Facebook, you can travel around the world, find disconnected family members or find a cyber-mall of online shopping. Giving us everything me need at one convenient location.
"On the surface, Facebook provides an invaluable resource for fulfilling the basic human need for social connection," Ethan Kross, a social psychologist, University of Michigan. (PAWLAK, 2013) However, Facebook has come under some frequent scrutiny lately. Reports of Facebook destroying the art of conversation. “Being together, but not together…” (Turkle, 2012)
To decreasing the overall satisfaction of the general population. (Anonymous, 2013) Facebook has become such a part of everyday life that many cannot go a day without it. Almost every aspect of our life can be shared on Facebook, even prompting individuals to complete their profile to share more, which in return connects you to more network on Facebook. Facebook has many benefits, however, the drawbacks have started to come to life. The underlying fact is that Facebook can only domination as much of our life as we allow it, or has society past the point of no return?
